The Albion Community Foundation has been selected to support one of the 200 finalists in the State Farm Neighborhood Assist™ program! The Bohm Theatre Restoration committee submitted a cause to restore the vacant, blighted Bohm Theatre for use as a film and performing arts center in Albion.
The top 200 selections are live on Facebook and anyone can vote for their favorite cause on the free Facebook application,
www.statefarm.com/neighborhoodassist. The 40 causes receiving the most votes will be announced on April 29, and a $25,000 grant will be awarded to the affiliated nonprofits to implement the solution.

State Farm Neighborhood Assist is a crowd-sourced philanthropic initiative that lets communities determine where grant funding is awarded, exclusively through Facebook. The initiative utilizes the Youth Advisory Board to vet submissions for causes and allows Facebook users who download the free Neighborhood Assist application to vote for the final 40 grant winners.

On Friday, June 7, from 1 – 4 p.m. there will be a Job Fair in Albion. Hosted by Michigan Works!, the City of Albion, Albion Economic Development Corporation, and other key partners, this will be an opportunity for Albion area employers to promote their companies to local job seekers. The event will take place at Albion High School. An employer registration form is attached. More information will be available in the near future, but for now, please save the date on your calendar.
