The Albion Community Foundation has been selected to support one of the 200 finalists in the State Farm Neighborhood Assist™ program! The Bohm Theatre Restoration committee submitted a cause to restore the vacant, blighted Bohm Theatre for use as a film and performing arts center in Albion.

The top 200 selections are live on Facebook and anyone can vote for their favorite cause on the free Facebook application, www.statefarm.com/neighborhoodassist. The 40 causes receiving the most votes will be announced on April 29, and a $25,000 grant will be awarded to the affiliated nonprofits to implement the solution.

To support the Albion Community Foundation and vote, click here http://apps.facebook.com/sf_neighbor_assist/ , give the application permissions (you’ll only have to do this once), then click on the “Vote” button to show your support for The Bohm Theatre. You can vote EVERYDAY, ten times day until April 22!

State Farm Neighborhood Assist is a crowd-sourced philanthropic initiative that lets communities determine where grant funding is awarded, exclusively through Facebook. The initiative utilizes the Youth Advisory Board to vet submissions for causes and allows Facebook users who download the free Neighborhood Assist application to vote for the final 40 grant winners.
